MainStay Blue Chip Growth Fund - Class A seeks capital appreciation; current income is a secondary consideration. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in common stocks and other equity securities, including convertible debt and preferred stocks, nonconvertible preferred stocks, warrants, and rights. It invests primarily in blue-chip companies with market capitalizations in excess of $2 billion and revenues greater than $500 million. The fund may invest up to 10% of assets in foreign securities. Class A shares have front loads; B shares have deferred loads, higher 12b-1 fees, and conversion features; C shares have level loads.
