It emphasizes small, less-recognized companies, but may also invest in large companies. The fund may invest up to 30% of assets in foreign securities. Named USAA Mutual Sunbelt Era Fund prior to Feb. 13, 1989, the fund was required to invest at least 80% of assets in companies deriving their principal revenues from the Sunbelt states. None of the fund's operations or basic policies have changed except for the Sunbelt requirement.
