The Charles Schwab organization began with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., a discount brokerage serving mostly "do-it-yourselfers" with low-cost trading and custody services. Over the last 25 years, however, the company's single-minded focus on the customer has allowed it to pioneer products and services that have changed the investing landscape.

Schwab has created a new model of financial services that melds technology and people to provide an integrated "high-tech" and "high-touch" service for investors ranging from the self-directed full-time active investor to investors who prefer to delegate the day-to-day management of their portfolios.

MISSION

Schwab's mission is to provide customers with the most useful and ethical financial services in the world.
